Supporting India’s AVGC Policy
We proudly support the Government of India’s new Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) policy, which specifically acknowledges comics as a vital component of the creative economy. Our aim as a trust is to actively contribute to and bolster the objectives of this policy by fostering domestic talent, promoting indigenous content, and creating a robust infrastructure for the growth and global recognition of Indian comic books and graphic arts.
Through advocacy, education, community building, and resource provision, we strive to empower every participant in the Indian comic book landscape.

Jatin is a leading voice in India’s pop culture space, an entrepreneur, creator‑economy mentor and architect of India’s fandom ecosystem. He founded Comic Con India and led its evolution from a comics convention into India’s largest pop-culture experiential platform spanning comics, gaming, cosplay and storytelling. Beyond events, he invests his time and vision into mentoring storytellers, building creative infrastructure and enabling platforms where fan‑driven narratives can flourish.
Sonal Varma

Sonal comes with an experience of over 14 years in the media industry and is known as a seasoned events and activation marketing professional. As part of Comic Con India, she has been managing events, activations, media, brand alliances, content, and global celebrity and comic book talent with excellence over the years.
